Teacher Training

Introduction

Teachers of partner schools are expected to adopt professional pedagogy and teaching approaches in ability-oriented courses based on the newly developed curriculum by a group of Chinese and German experts.

Teachers also need to develop the ability of independent course design based on the given syllabus and to be able to share what they have learnt in the programme with their colleagues and students so as to maximize the benefits of this programme.

All training sessions are topic-centered and focused on essential knowledge and skills for classroom teaching with the purpose of developing students’ action and ability-oriented pedagogic capabilities.

All modules are conducted and certified by Tongji University in deputy with the Center of Competence (CoC) under the guidance of the MoE, which ensures the nationwide recognition of the SGAVE programme.
